"These two landscapes are based on the endless days I spent with my children outdoors during the pandemic, particularly the Agawam territory, that is now also known as Crane Beach in Ipswich. I use synthetic materials and fibers to create my abstract notion of the ocean, and while the actual natural surroundings were not filled with detritus, I am once again bringing in the dichotomy of materiality here, expressing a world made of synthetic and natural materials. These two pieces are related to the video on the floor, stilling life (settle)."
