Description
This colorful, playful, handwoven lamp can be converted from table lamp to pendant lamp – perfect for a living space that is active and in constant flux. The lamp shade is triple woven with hand painted paper covered with acrylic, making it both robust and light. Each paper is painted on both sides and then hand-cut into small strips that are woven into the hexagon weave. The color pattern in the insight yellow/orange to give it a nice, cozy light, while the outside is a nice color contrast combination of green/yellow. Since each lamp is unique and made from hand, slight hue variations may occur. It comes with a red cloth covered cord that is 15 feet long, long enough that you can wrap the cord around a curtain rod or let it suspend from several hooks.

Each lamp is made by hand in the studio. It begins with hand-painted watercolor paper that are then cut into strips. The artist then triple weaves each lamp with the hexagon weave, to make it both robust and light weight. Finally, the borders are sewn, the wooden legs are painted and the electrical cord is tested out. Once finished, each piece is lovingly packaged and shipped.
